Jacqui’s Design Group has been coloring, cutting and styling hair at 280 Broadway since 1991. In that time the salon has grown up alongside its clients — the person who came in for a first haircut is now bringing their own kids, and the stylist doing their color has been doing it for years.
We don’t put much stock in certificates. What actually shows up in the chair is hours — thousands of them, spent on real heads of hair, learning what works and what doesn’t. That’s harder to advertise than a badge on a wall, which is why we’d rather let clients say it for us.

Why clients stay
Most of our week is color and cutting — root touch-ups, foil highlights, and cut-and-blowdry appointments make up the bulk of what walks through the door. That repetition is the point. A colorist who does gray coverage and foils every single day knows what your hair will do before it does it.
We’ll also tell you when something isn’t the right call. If a service won’t work on your hair, or the shade you’re asking for takes three visits instead of one, you’ll hear that during the consultation rather than after.
