Jacqui’s Design Group is a full-service hair salon in Arlington, MA, and this is everything we do under one roof. Most of our week is color and cutting — root touch-ups, foil highlights, and cut-and-blowdry appointments make up the bulk of what walks through the door. We also do balayage, smoothing treatments, eyelash extensions, brow shaping, and bridal work.
We have been on Broadway in Arlington since 1991. In that time we have learned that the thing clients actually want is a stylist who has done their hair type a thousand times before — not a certificate on the wall. Every person on our team has real hours behind the chair, and we will tell you honestly when a service is not the right fit for your hair.

Everything Under One Roof
Women's cuts, men's and clipper cuts, kids' cuts, and blowouts. A cut and blowdry is one of the most requested appointments we book, and it is where most new clients start with us. If you are growing out a shape, changing one, or just want it to sit right again, this is the appointment.

Single-process root touch-ups, all-over color, gray coverage, gloss, and toner. Root touch-up is the single most booked service in the salon. Our colorists will talk through upkeep before anything goes on your hair, so you know what the next six weeks look like before you commit.

Hand-painted, lived-in color with soft grow-out and less frequent upkeep than foils. Partial balayage with a blowout starts at $115; full balayage with a blowout starts at $275. Depending on where your hair is starting from, reaching your goal shade may take more than one visit — we will tell you that up front.

Full and partial foil highlights, face-framing, and a few foils for brightness. Partial highlights start at $130 and full highlights start at $200, depending on the stylist. Highlights can be added to a root color appointment, which is how a lot of our clients book them. Toner is $45.

Smoothing treatments and conditioning services for hair that frizzes, takes too long to dry, or has been through a lot of color. These are best discussed in person — how your hair responds depends on its history, so we would rather look at it than quote blind.

Full sets and fills, applied lash by lash by our lash artists. We will walk you through the fill schedule and how to care for them at home so the set lasts as long as it should.

Eyebrow shaping, waxing, and tinting. Brows are one of the quickest appointments we offer and one of the easiest to add onto a color or cut visit — most clients book them together rather than making a separate trip. We also offer facial waxing.

Bridal makeup, wedding day hair, trials, and makeup for the wedding party or a special event. Book your trial well ahead of the date — it is the appointment that fills up first in wedding season.

Partial balayage with a blowout starts at $115, and full balayage with a blowout starts at $275. Adding a cut runs $140 and up for partial or $300 and up for full. Final pricing depends on hair length, density, and how many sessions your goal color takes.
Yes. If you are making a significant change, or you are not sure which service you need, we recommend a consultation first. It takes about fifteen minutes, it is free, and it means the appointment we book is the right length for the work.
Yes. We do men’s and clipper cuts alongside women’s cuts and styling. Both are booked through our cuts and blowouts service.
